How old do you have to be to rent a slingshot in Oklahoma City?
All drivers must be 25+ years of age with a valid driver’s license to be shown at the time of rental.
Can I have more than one driver?
a. Yes, we allow multiple drivers. However, each driver must be present at the time of the rental and show a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
b. Additional drivers must also complete a waiver online.
What is the youngest age to ride in the slingshot?
Children 5+ years old can ride with the proper safety restraint (safety restraint must be provided by the driver and all responsibility surrounding the use of the safety restraint and the passenger falls back to the driver. Oklahoma Slingshot Rentals is not responsible for improper use of a safety restraint)
What is the fuel policy?
a. All vehicles come with a full tank and must be returned with a full take. YOU MUST USE 91+ Octane fuel. Using lower octane gas or ethanol blends can cause damage to the slingshot. A damage fee of $250 will be assessed if the wrong fuel was used.
b. If the slingshot is not returned with a full tank a $50 fuel charge will be assessed.
What if we lose the key fob or damage it?
A loss or damage key fee will be assessed in the amount of $350.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
Yes, we hold a $350 rental deposit with an authorization on your credit card for the day of your booking. We require on deposit for each slingshot. Once the vehicle is returned and inspected the deposit will be returned minus any fees accrued.
Do I need to have a motorcycle license to drive a slingshot?
No, the State of Oklahoma classifies the slingshots as Auto-Cycles. A valid state driver’s license is all you need.
Do I need to wear a helmet?
Helmets are not required but are suggested for safety. You may bring your own or we have a limited supply of helmets to reserve during your rental.
Do I need to purchase Insurance?
Yes! Starting at $25/day
Damage Waiver-must sign prior to rental.
Deductible: $750
- The renter is responsible for any damages to the Slingshot up to the deductible.
- After $750 the damage waiver covers the remaining repair cost.
- The damage waiver does not cover medical expenses.
- We do not except outside insurance coverage.
